Fair and sustainable
We are committed to choosing human and environmental friendliness in every step of making our jewelry, from raw material to packaging. By continuously focusing on this mission, we take many small steps and sometimes even bigger ones:
This is what we do:
All jewelry boxes, wrapping paper, gift vouchers and envelopes have an eco-label.
They are purchased locally and the boxes are produced in Europe.
The aim is to exclusively use gemstones with a fair mining or fair trade quality mark.
We work together with production partners who share the same vision and mission.
They put it first: All workers involved are paid well, have health insurance and work in safe conditions. The indigenous population of humans and animals is taken into account, by minimizing the impact of the mines. During mining, local water sources are protected from pollution and everything is done to prevent sediment from breaking up, which could block natural streams and rivers. Once mining is finished, the native trees and plants are restored and replanted, so that nature is left as it was as much as possible.
The production partners visit the source themselves and take care of the processing of the stones or are transparent about their partnerships.
Use of high-quality material that retains its beauty and is skin-friendly.
Mainly .925 silver and gold filled material are used.
Here too, we choose a partner who shares the same mission and vision in terms of sustainability. With a factory that runs on solar panels and a great sustainability policy, in which, among other things, goldsmith filings are taken back and melted down into new metal.
By purchasing as close to the source as possible and in as large a quantity as possible, we limit transport emissions.
Collaborate with like-minded people.
Not only the production partners for the materials, but also the stores we work with have a sustainable range and/or additional social value.
This is not a requirement, because it can inspire change precisely where there is little attention for it.
Displays are made from waste wood from local businesses.
Or from a pruned tree from mother's garden, or from wood from the marketplace.
Designs made from recycled materials and upcycling.
The leaf and feather earrings and bag charms are made of upcycled leather and made with recycled beads. For this, we work together with local entrepreneurs, such as bag, furniture and shoe makers.

Conscious choices when purchasing and production
Jewelry is made in small editions or to order. This way we avoid unnecessary stock. When purchasing, we choose local or close to the source, depending on what has more emissions or which company is more sustainable. We strive for as few purchasing moments as possible per year.
Orders in the area are usually delivered by bicycle.
For long distances, the more sustainable sender is chosen.
